How to Understand the Entire New Testament at a Glance
Finally understand the big picture of the New Testament without feeling overwhelmed
This is part 2 of the Bible at a glance- see the Old Testament HERE.
Have you ever opened your Bible to the New Testament and wondered, Where do I even start? Maybe you’ve heard people mention Romans, Hebrews, or Revelation, but you weren’t quite sure how all the pieces fit together. The New Testament can sometimes feel like a library of separate books rather than one unified story.
The good news is that every book has a purpose. Each one reveals something unique about Jesus, the gospel, the church, and the Christian life. The Gospels introduce us to Christ. Acts shows the spread of the gospel. The letters teach us how to live as believers. Revelation reminds us of the victory that is still to come.
As you read through this overview, don’t think of these books as isolated writings. Think of them as individual threads woven together into one beautiful story of God’s redemption. Understanding the purpose of each book can help you read with greater confidence and see the big picture of what God is doing throughout the New Testament.
